Construction of Atlantic Health System's Overlook Medical Center’s 2.7 MW CHP plant continues 😎

✔ Walls, floor and ceiling of boiler room are painted
✔ Roof of the existing boiler room was vertically expanded

Congratulations to Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center for 5 successful years of operation of their CHP plant! 🥳

We designed, built and assisted operations of the 8 MW CHP plant in 2019.

Since the CHP plant came online in 2019:
✅ 262,783,091 kWh has been produced
✅ the engine has operated for 42,957 hours
✅ the hospital’s carbon emissions have been reduced by over ~230,000 tons (equivalent to removing 37,500 cars off of the road!)

The cogeneration plant meets 98% of the hospital’s thermal consumption and meets 54% of electric consumption.

The plant is predicted to reduce Hershey Medical Center’s total utility cost by $3 million annually.
