The Kneeling Nun a iconic landmark, in Southwest New Mexico, in Santa Rita, New Mexico. She kneels just above the tailings from Chino Mines. The parent company is Freeport McMorRan Inc., the mine is 1.75 miles wide and 1,350 ft deep. The Apaches were the first to discover the copper, which has been mined since 1910.
