Last week cadets got to cool off in the pool with water confidence training!

From high dive to push offs to goggle retrieval, cadets got to develop their confidence in leadership using water survival training. Way to go Det 505!

Over the weekend our amazing cadre and cadets participated in the Bataan Memorial Marathon. The light weight and heavy ruck teams completed the 14.2 and 26.2 mile courses in honor of the men who gave their lives during the Bataan Death March in World War II.

For many participants this was their first attempt at running or rucking Bataan. They toughed through this hilly course and sand with a determined and outstanding mindset. Way to go Det 505!

New rewrites to the Dress and Appearance Manual have been released! Take a look at the new updates to the DAFI 36-2903:

Tanks and bowls and GMC Takeover!

LLAB 04 saw cadets practiced marching by playing a game of tanks! With the flight’s objective to intercept the opposing team, cadets learned how to be quick and reactive with executing commands. Meanwhile other flights got to show off their knowledge in the Knowledge Bowl!

LLAB 05 saw the 200s takeover the wing for a taste at the roles the POC handle to make all activities a success in the program. From planning workouts and recruiting events to teaching and developing the GMC into future leaders, the cadet’s got it all.

Last week a few lucky seniors got to find out the first assignments as Air Force officers! Cadet Terrel will go to Tinker AFB, Cadet Lopez is going to Fairchild AFB, and Cadet Garcia got Joint base Anacostia-Bolling AFB. Congrats!
