Lash Health 101: Why Removing Outgrown Extensions Matters!

When you come in for your 2-3 week fill and have good retention, you may assume not much is needed. However, your lash artist should prioritize your lash health above all else & assess. Any outgrown lashes ~2-3mm, twisted or poorly bonded lashes will be removed. Then, healthy lashes in their proper phases will get new extensions to recreate your lash set look. Keep in mind, this is a very important step and here’s why…

Leaving outgrown extensions can lead to:
• Poor weight distribution, causing tension on your natural lash follicle
• Twisting and tangling, ruining the shape of your set
• Weakens retention due to overtime exposure to debris, oils, and friction

Fill appointments may vary as it depends on how many extensions need to be removed and replaced with fresh ones. So be sure to give your artist & yourself enough time for fill appts as your lashes deserve proper TLC!
