🚨City of Laredo, University of Texas Education and Research Center Host Alzheimer’s Symposium💜

On Friday, Mayor Pro Tempore and District 1 Council Member Gilbert Gonzalez attended the First Alzheimer’s Disease & Related Dementias (ADRD) Symposium at the University of Texas Education and Research Center at Laredo, where he proudly read the proclamation for Alzheimer’s Awareness Month on behalf of Mayor Dr. Victor D. Treviño.

The symposium brought together community members and healthcare professionals to learn from leading experts, including geriatricians, neurologists, clinicians, and researchers specializing in Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias.

Alzheimer’s disease affects millions of individuals and families, making education, awareness, and early intervention more important than ever. The City of Laredo encourages the community to support those impacted by these conditions, share information that promotes understanding, and participate in activities that help reduce the prevalence and impact of dementia-related diseases.

Together, through awareness, research, and community support, we can make a difference. 💜
