***It was a log***. From low pressure misty rain to bright sun and cutting north wind, then lake effect rain AND wind...just generally sh*tty conditions overall, fishing kinda sucked. But muskie fishing usually does to be HONEST 🤷. Save one that got pricked in the beak by a big foam bullfrog, almost no muskies were harmed on this outing - though one may have been bewildered by the jet pump lower unit she inspected in 2ft of water. Still a great day on the water with Tom. We have some great chats...often deeply profane and childlike, but intrinsic to making a-hole 'skis a tolerable target species. Squeezing trips in whenever I can with all manner of weather related calamity a near daily occurrence - leading to a record number of cancelations. That's 30 years of metrics 🤔. Some I'll get back, but many I won't. Lots of guides sucking hind-tit right now. I know, I know, cry us a river, right!

We're in transition now with a handful of spawned-out steelhead dropping back through the system and browns hotter than a firecracker one day and non-existent the next. They're well-fed on juicy steelhead eggs, fish, insects, crayfish, and amphibians...who can blame them when they don't eat.
