Lansing RIF-Reading is Fundamental

RIF gets Thank-You notes!

-Here are a few excerpts from notes written by North Elementary students:

*From S.: "I like the book because it was about rain--and I love
the rain. Thank you so much."

*D. signed their note, "Thank you, D. the reader"

*N. wrote: We "really appreciate what you guys do for Lansing
School District. -From your favorite North Star, N."

*Another D. wrote: "You guys are some of the best book
people I know. I really like the selection of books.
I like the fact that we didn't have to pay for the
books. . . . We all hope you guys have a good rest
of your life."

*From J.: "I love the books you guys give and I love reading
them. You guys are awesome-sauce. Thank you"

*P. writes: "We appreciate you coming to our school and
giving us books for free. It is nice to be able to
read without having to spend so much money on
books. . . You have helped me and others be more
interested in reading books and looking for more."

Thank you to Beckye Kennedy and her team of volunteers for coordinating the RIF distribution at North Elementary.

"Fifty's done, now it's Fifty-One!"

Not every birthday gets a party. Help RIF celebrate our 51st year of continuous service in the Lansing Schools, helping children love to read!

So far this year, RIF has given over 20,000 books (and counting!) to Lansing students. Over its history, RIF has given 3 million books--to generations of Lansing students!
