Our team is at the Mackinac Policy Conference this week connecting with leaders and partners from across the state. J.T. Mackey, Yulonda Byrd, and Jennifer Everhart enjoyed the opportunity to catch up with Jennifer Hayes, fellow member of the Michigan CDFI Coalition!

MI CDFI Coalition members Invest Detroit and Cinnaire are enjoying the nice weather, policy discussions, and CDFI advocacy on the island this week! Enjoy the rest of the Detroit Regional Chamber's Mackinac Policy Conference!

Our team is still thinking about a fantastic few days at the Women's Affordable Housing Network (WAHN) Summit!

Miranda Bialk, Beth Baar, Michelle Foster, and Cassandra Oracz had an incredible time connecting, learning, and contributing alongside such a strong network of women leaders in affordable housing. Beth had the honor of introducing this year’s WAHN-derful Woman of the Year as last year’s recipient, and she and Miranda also led a great conversation on how Asset Management and Property Management can work more collaboratively.

We’re also excited to share that Beth was appointed to the national WAHN Board of Directors—an incredible and well-deserved recognition of her leadership. 👏🏾

With the CHAM - Consortium for Housing and Asset Management group all in one place, the team made the most of the opportunity to spend time planning together in person for the upcoming CHAM conference.

We are grateful to be part of such an energizing and impactful event—and looking forward to what’s ahead!

Cinnaire’s Max Novak joined industry leaders at the CohnReznick NMTC Summit last week for an insightful session on building durable operational infrastructure under a permanent New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) program.

The panel explored how CDEs and developers are strengthening their foundations for long-term success—from staffing and succession planning to leveraging deal management systems and workflow automation. The discussion also highlighted how organizations are proactively preparing for Treasury examinations and elevating operational practices to support stronger allocation partnerships and ex*****on.

Thank you to moderator Jacen Killebrew (CohnReznick) and fellow panelists David Scheltz (Affirmative Investments), Carla Hinson (Cross Street Partners), and Ross Clarke (Corporation for Supportive Housing) for a thoughtful and forward-looking conversation.
