A landmark win for housing in Michigan!

The new Michigan Housing Opportunity Tax Credit gives our state a powerful tool to finance affordable housing, attract additional investment, and expand housing opportunities across the state.

This achievement reflects years of advocacy, partnership, and commitment from across Michigan's housing ecosystem. Thank you to Michigan State Housing Development Authority and Michigan Housing Council for their leadership, and to Representative Joseph Aragona, Representative Kristian Grant, and Senator Jeff Irwin for championing this important legislation.

We look forward to building on this momentum with our partners to expand housing opportunity for Michigan residents and communities.

Our team had a great time supporting Junior Achievement of Mid Michigan's Capital City Golf Outing alongside our partners at the Michigan Bankers Association (MBA)!

Cinnaire's Claire Borsheim and Katlynn Kretz joined Jill Verscheure and Matt Szubinski from MBA for a day of networking, collaboration, and supporting Junior Achievement's mission to empower young people through financial literacy and workforce readiness.

We didn't take home any trophies this year, but it's always a win when we can spend the day with great partners and support an organization making a lasting impact in our communities.⛳

Community leaders, parters and residents gathered this week to celebrate the grand opening of Aurora Place, a new affordable housing community in Washburn, WI. Developed by Cinnaire Solutions in partnership with the City of Washburn, WI Government and Bayfield County Government, Aurora Place features 40 energy-efficient cottage-style homes designed to meet the housing needs of local workers, seniors, and families.

The development also includes a community clubhouse with murals by Wisconsin artist Jesse Fritsch, celebrating the beauty and spirit of the Chequamegon Bay region.

Aurora Place is the result of years of collaboration and a shared commitment to expanding housing opportunities and strengthening rural communities. Congratulations to Bayfield County, the City of Washburn, and all of the partners who helped make Aurora Place a reality, including Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA), Impact Seven, Inc., UW Extension and the office of Senator Tammy Baldwin.

We're taking a moment to look back at a fantastic Consortium for Housing and Asset Management (CHAM) Conference earlier this June. Our Cinnaire team was proud to participate in meaningful conversations, share insights through conference presentations, and connect with housing and community development professionals from across the industry.

A special shoutout to Beth Baar and Miranda Bialk, whose dedication on the CHAM Planning Committee helped make this year's conference a success. Their leadership reflects Cinnaire's longstanding commitment to and strong partnership with the CHAM community.

We're also honored to celebrate Julia Pierson, CHAM Executive Director, who was recognized with "The Original Chamster" award in tribute to her retirement and lasting impact on the organization. Congratulations, Julia, and thank you for your years of service and leadership. 🎉
