Meet One of Our Amazing Trainers, for The JCI Michigan Fall Conference.

Training Title: Leading as Yourself: Authentic Leadership in an Artificial World

In an age of curated personas, AI-generated content, and accelerating change, the leaders people most need and most remember are the ones who know who they are, and can use that clarity in service of the people they lead. This session introduces authentic leadership, a research-backed approach grounded in self-awareness, integrity, relational transparency, and values-driven action. Participants will explore the four core components of authentic leadership and reflect on how well their leadership reflects who they actually are. Whether you're already leading a team, or still building the foundation to lead, this session offers frameworks to help you lead from your strengths and values with clarity, credibility, and purpose.

Dr. Ryan J. White brings a unique blend of academic depth, varied experiences and practical wisdom to leadership development. As Associate Dean for Leadership Development at Hope College, Ryan has spent over a decade creating transformative experiences that help people discover their authentic selves and lead with purpose and intention. He has led teams and programs critical to the college's academic program, is a regular instructor in Hope's Leadership program and a sought-after expert facilitator, consultant, and speaker.
Ryan's approach is both intellectually engaging and deeply human. His facilitation style blends thoughtful content, reflective practices and genuine conversation always with an eye toward helping participants connect with what matters most.

An accomplished educator, athletic coach, and facilitator, Ryan holds a doctorate in Educational Psychology from USC, and understands the dynamics of bringing out the best in organizations, teams and individuals.
