Every Michigander deserves access to the medications they need and insurance coverage they can actually afford. That's why I have my boots on the ground in Lansing, fighting to lower healthcare and insurance costs for families across our state.

No one should have to choose between paying their bills and getting the care they need. And no one should suffer or lose their life because healthcare was out of reach.

It is time for Michigan to pass the American Freedmen Affairs Act!

I am proud to have introduced legislation as part of this package to help deliver long-overdue reparative justice. This effort is about acknowledging historical inequities and taking meaningful action to create opportunities for future generations.
