Happy Juneteenth! The Learning Commons will be closed on Monday, June 19 in observance of this historical federal holiday.

Juneteenth commemorates the day in 1865 that news of Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation reached Galveston Bay, TX. Also sometimes called Freedom Day, Juneteenth officially became a federal holiday in 2021. Learn more here: https://nmaahc.si.edu/juneteenth
