Meet Kristin Staley, Lancaster County Academy’s attendance secretary and English Teacher, community advocate, and one of the many people helping make LCA a place where students feel truly seen and supported.
Kristin brings passion, energy, and intentionality into everything she does. Whether she’s spending one-on-one time with students each day, helping make school more engaging and inclusive, or encouraging students to grow beyond simply “checking boxes” to graduate, her focus is always on connection, growth, and helping students recognize their potential.
A dedicated educator and lifelong learner, Kristin currently serves on both her local school board and county library board while pursuing her Master’s in Education. She is also a board member for her local track team and remains deeply involved in her church community, where she leads a small group and enjoys building meaningful relationships and supporting others in their faith journeys. Kristin continues to advocate for students and families both inside and outside the classroom.
Outside of work, Kristin is a busy mom of six, a coffee enthusiast (salted caramel cold brew is her go-to), and proudly admits you can usually find her somewhere in a drive-thru. She loves reading, spending time with family, celebrating every random national holiday, and sharing laughter wherever she goes. She and her husband are also high school sweethearts, a story she treasures deeply.
We’re grateful for the heart, dedication, and positivity Kristin brings to the LCA community each and every day.

✨ Staff Spotlight Series ✨
Meet Amanda Lowry, a dedicated science educator, coach, and lifelong learner who brings energy and curiosity into every space she’s in.
A graduate of Millersville University with degrees in Biology Education and Animal Behavior, Amanda has built her career around helping students connect learning to the real world. From her early years at LCA to her time teaching at Lancaster Catholic, she has remained committed to creating engaging, hands-on experiences for her students—both in and out of the classroom. While at Lancaster Catholic, she also founded the Garden Club, creating opportunities for students to learn, grow, and connect beyond academics.
In addition to teaching, Amanda continues to coach basketball and serves as Director of Summer Camps, extending her impact through mentorship, teamwork, and leadership.
Outside of school, Amanda enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring new places, going to the beach, and making memories with friends and family. A true animal lover, she previously interned at the Lancaster SPCA and is a proud cat mom to Kylo and Minnie.
We’re delighted to have Amanda as part of the LCA community and for the passion, positivity, and dedication she brings to our students every day.
