Rock In Paradise, Steve Albini
1962, July 22nd - 2024, May 7th
The recording engineer / "record-ist" (never wanting the label of producer), musician, singer, and songwriter. Which many in the indie rock community called "The Wizard", was the man behind some pretty big albums by artists like Chevelle, BUSH, Nirvana, The Breeders, The Pixies, Mogwai, The Jesus Lizard, PJ Harvey, Jimmy Page & Robert Plant, The Stooges, Manic Street Preachers, Cheap Trick, Mclusky, Zao, The Auteurs, Foxy Shazam, and Veruca Salt. Has died suddenly from a heart attack in his music studio. He was 61 years old.
