Looking past the craziness of March and April to let everyone know that our we are now accepting new campers (9-14 years-old and female-identifying individuals) until April 13th. In honor of Black History Month, we will be highlighting African American Scientists throughout the month. First up, is Patricia Bath, the first African American to complete a residency in ophthalmology and the first African American female doctor to receive a medical patent. She invented the Laserphaco Probe for cataract treatment in 1986.
