In our society of euphemisms, we had bums, vagrants, homeless, housing deprived to unhoused.

A little different, we had global warming, global boiling, climate crisis, to climate change ( I call these climate or weather).

For the Left, words matter for perception, not reality.

Federal agents (ICE) have ultimate authority to enforce federal immigration law nationwide. Democrat (or Republican) governors cannot legally block or stop ICE operations in their states. States lack the power to nullify federal law here.
