A lot of sanding went into this commissioned piece to lighten up the orange wood. The original brass hardware looks like new after a good cleaning and some navy tweed drawer liner gives a pop of color inside.

Talk about lightening up a piece of furniture! This antique secretary desk is a family heirloom of a commissioned customer and they wanted it light and natural to go in their beachside home. This restoration involved lots of sanding, bleaching, more sanding, more bleaching, plus some old stubborn wood, and a little paint/new pulls. In the end it came out just perfect!

How cool is this coffee/game table? It is a commissioned piece from a recurring customer who wanted it brought back to life. I love how the top unfolds open for more space, then closes up for everyday use. I painted the base Atlantic Blue from and sealed it with their clear wax. Then the top was sanded, white washed, and sealed with multiple coats of poly for durable protection.

A Harry Potter bureau restoration for a very special soon to be 7 year old! Are you a Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, or Slytherin? I used stamps to make the patterns for each drawer, leather drawer pulls to look like a suitcase handle, and old belts with some buckles screwed in for the suitcase straps. The casing looks like the Marauder’s map with decals and some brown antiquing wax. Can’t wait to see this Harry Potter fan’s reaction!

Raise your hand if you are especially thankful for teachers this Thanksgiving!! 🙋🏼♀️ This was a fun makeover for a teacher, who is also a parent of a former student of mine, now in college!
