Raceway Ranch

Well, it has been exactly 21 days since I put eggs under broody mama brahma. Today I walked into the coop to three babies screaming from opposite sides of the coop. Each baby seemed to be guarded by a very confused rooster, and they were all perfectly ok! But I went ahead and took them because she could care less and just wants to hatch the remaining eggs. She successfully hatched 3, one was double membrane shrink wrapped and would never have made it out, very much like the only other double membrane baby I have ever had. So crazy, they're not even laid by the same hen.

She still has 4 left to hatch. Hopefully she is successful with those too, and if so I will have 7 fluffy little olive eggers!

Today I traded some BCM eggs for a few GORGEOUS ermine and white ameraucana chicks! Thank you so much Devlyn, I love them!! With the storm raging I didn't get any pics, but I'll take plenty soon 🥰

Aaaaand I also got myself a new secondary incubator and Govee on the way! I am so excited to double my capacity again, but with better results and wayyyyyyyy less heartbreak this time. Can't go wrong with a Maticoopx! Better prepare yourself for double the Raceway Ranch babies in your feed 😁😁😁
