✨ Wixie Update ✨

Wixie came to see us for sudden changes in mobility and signs of discomfort, and after advanced imaging, we were able to get some answers. Her MRI showed inflammation in several muscle groups, most likely from a traumatic injury—something we call myositis. There was also a small area in her spinal cord that may represent a vascular event, meaning a brief disruption in blood flow.

The good news? 💛 Wixie recovered beautifully from anesthesia and was able to go home the same day for medical management and lots of TLC.

Cases like Wixie’s can be scary, but with the right diagnostics and supportive care, many pets can make meaningful improvements over time. We’ll be cheering her on every step of the way!
