Today we want to give a big shout out to The Old Jammin’ Twins. Not only are they a sponsor, but also some of Jackson's biggest cheerleaders (and Jackson's Grandma and Great Aunt)! We don't know what we'd do without them!

They make the absolute best jams (strawberry and blackberry are our favorites!) crocheted goods, denim crafts, quilts and more!

Just a few days before the Barona Speedway IMCA Summer Shootout! They say it takes a village and when it comes to racing, that couldn't be more true. We thought this was a perfect time to shout out some of the people in our "village", starting with our car owner, Brandon Painter and everyone at Painter-Built Motorsports.

Brandon and the family have been a part of our race family for quite a few years now, spanning from on (and off) the track to the desert, the beach, some memorable backyard hangouts full of shenanigans and everywhere inbetween.

They've been involved in our race program and contributed to Curtis's success in his last Pure Stock, a few rides in a sporty and helping facilitate some seat time in a Hobby Stock, Jackson's Masters mini dwarf, and is the owner of the Junior Sprint we're running. We're so grateful for Brandon and the family and happy to call them all part of our race family!

6/20 Race Recap, what a night!!

We started the day with last race’s awards and Jackson got his first Junior Sprint trophy for his 3rd place finish last race.

He started 2nd in his heat and jumped up to the lead, finishing with his first Junior Sprint heat win.

For the main, he drew a 5, was running in 3rd right away, back to 4th, and then there was a little chaos between the leaders and the lap traffic and Jackson managed to swoop underneath it all, pulling into the lead and winning his first Junior Sprint main event win!

We were all very excited and he told mom several times he wasn’t expecting to win at all, just had some good luck. All the kiddos in that class are so fast, sometimes a little luck makes a world of difference.

It’s race day!!!!! Getting ready to head up to Barona. Come hang out and watch Jackson race!

6/6 race recap

Jackson is finding his groove in the Jr. Sprint! That, along with some luck and a new motor to replace the tired one he was running seemed to point him in the right direction. He went 2nd to 3rd in his heat then drew a 6 for his starting position in the main. Those kiddos were all great, I don’t think we had a single caution during the main. Jackson managed to make his way up, was doing a great job maneuvering with lap traffic and ended up finishing 3rd for his first Jr. Sprint podium finish!

Getting prepped for tonight’s races and realized we never recapped the last race on Sunday 5/24

Jackson tried some new techniques that are showing a lot of promise. He started and finished his heat last but in the main, started 11th and finished 7th. We realized when we pulled off the track that when another kiddo got into him on his front left side halfway through the race, it popped his tire and he finished the second half on a flat. Jackson was especially amused by that.

Getting prepped for tonight’s races!

Jackson is still learning this new car but is trying new things each race and has picked up a little speed. He finished 4th in his heat and 9th in the main. He’s ready to get back out tonight and try a few new things!
