Goodbye rickety old deck that shook like a haunted house -hello fresh cedar glow-up! We swapped wobbly steps and 'please don't collapse' front stairs for beautiful new boards and sturdy cedar steps that don't scream when you walk on them. And as a bonus? A brand new cedar fence that marks the start of this homes refresh facelift, and honestly, it's already serving 'new year, new me' vibes.

Marilyn's fence in Arlington was wrapped up in late spring. This fence has true nominal one by 6 x 6' cedar boards on both sides of her home. On the one side just three sections of Alta top style with a continuous 2 x 6 cap. On the other side was a 6 foot tall modified panel style With one walk-through gate and a slight dome.

I call this one, The Face Lift. We stripped the siding down to paper and replaced with all new sheeting and Hardie board and batten, tying it together with a belly band. We also put in a new fancy high tech door, and fresh window trim to complete the look . Happy with how this one turned out!
