I had an interesting gig last night for the Women for Tomorrow fundraiser at Veterans Terrace! The venue was beautiful, the people were dressed up, and Mother Nature had different ideas! About 40 minutes into our performance, we all had to head down to the basement and wait it out for the rest of the performance. Jazz Man Jeff absolutely worked me at chess, but it was still a fun time! Thanks again to Bernard and The Runaway for sponsoring us to play!
We met some colorful characters at the Wine/Beer walk and 5k this weekend. Giant life sized corn people, a warden with escaped convicts, a Saved By the Bell crew and many more walked in. Bernard Peterson and The Runaway crew put on a great time, and we were glad to be a part of it!

In my first year or two of college, I had two Sinatra albums that I played in my car all of the time. When "Cheek to Cheek" came on, I always thought it was a fun song to sing along to. Fast forward a few years, and now I get to sing it with a LIVE big band. If I would've known back then that I'd be doing this now, I wouldn't have believed it!
