What lei adorns your Pāpale? We had a special day this past weekend working on land in ʻĪao Valley and it was magic. Taro cleaning, River dips and lei po’o making. My Kauai hat now is adorned with the ferns grown from this land. Connecting both islands together as they are in my heart. Mahalo for opening your land for others to visit, work, learn and reconnect.

Fragrant plumeria, juicy mangos and lychee, ocean swims, morning and evening showers…these are just a few things that mean summer here in Hawaii! When I pick flowers for each lei I really want them to reflect the seasons, and I believe this one embodies summertime. Can’t wait to see photos of this beauty on top of its owners po’o!

My best friend found her forever. This was my first everlasting lei po’o. She never told me her wedding colors, but we share the same wave length so I made the lei hoping it was. Her dreams came true this day, and I couldn’t be happier for her. To know that you had a piece of my love with you on the most special day of your life, I will treasure for the rest of mine.

A little detail added to this lei po’o. The day her life changed completely. The ocean is always apart of what I create, whether it’s photography or lei making the ocean is always the piece that goes it all together.

The best part of lei making is forging for the flowers. Living in Hawaii you can find the most beautiful flowers to string or wrap. However, you don’t have to live here to find beautiful flowers, get outside this weekend and explore your area and see what you can find!
