Beloved Ohana,

With heavy hearts, our bakery will be closed tomorrow, Thursday 7/23.

Chef gave it everything he had today, hoping to push through prep so we could open for you tomorrow, but he just isn’t feeling himself. Sometimes the wisest thing we can do is slow down, even when our hearts want nothing more than to serve.

We are truly disappointed to miss you tomorrow and are so sorry for any inconvenience. Thank you for always extending such grace, kindness, and aloha to our little Ohana.

We look forward to welcoming you back Friday, 7/24, when we’ll resume our regular bakery hours.

Mahalo for your understanding, your prayers, and for loving our family so well. We can’t wait to see you Friday. 🤍🌺

🙌🏼4 years 🙌🏼
What an incredible privilege it has been to serve each and every one of you.

There are moments when we look around the bakery and pause, realizing this has become so much more than a place to grab a cinnamon roll or a cup of coffee. It’s become a place where hugs are exchanged, prayers are shared, friendships begin, and memories are made.

To be trusted with your family traditions, your Maui vacations, your celebrations, your quiet mornings, and even your hardest days is an honor we never take for granted.

Whether you’ve been with us since Day One or you just found us this year, you’ve become part of the Papi’s Ohana story. You have filled these walls with laughter, kindness, and aloha, and because of you, this little bakery has become something we could have never built on our own.

Thank you for allowing us the privilege of serving you these past four years. Every early morning, every made-from-scratch pastry, every pizza, every smile, and every conversation has been for our beloved Ohana.

From the bottom of our hearts… mahalo for walking this journey with us. We truly can’t wait to continue making memories together for many years to come.

With all our luff and aloha,

❤️ The Papi’s Ohana Family

🏖️ Story Time… Grab your beach chairs for this one.

It’s been days since I’ve been pondering how to best tell this story.

Some stories deserve to be slowed down. They deserve to be felt.

I’ve always known our little bakery was special, but I never imagined I’d get a glimpse into its history through the eyes of someone who once called it home.

It all began with a simple Facebook comment made by former Ms. Maui Filipina 1969, Evy, shared that this building was her childhood home. Her brother even drew the original blueprints for the two buildings.

Some months later we had the incredible honor of her walking through her childhood doors.

As she walked through the bakery, she shared memories of growing up here, pointed to places that held special meaning, and even showed us a photograph taken in the very living room where our beloved Ohana now gather each morning. To stand in that same space, knowing the love and life that filled it long before us, was incredibly humbling.

Then she quietly said something I’ll never forget…

“My mom would be so happy.”
Happy tears were shared 🥹

We’re reminded that we’re not just baking cinnamon rolls, bread, and pizza. We’re privileged to steward a place that has been filled with love for generations. Before it became Papi’s Ohana, it was another Ohana’s home. Now, by God’s grace, we have the privilege of carrying forward the legacy of the seeds her mom planted so many years ago.

The walls may have a new purpose, but the heart remains the same♥️a place where people gather, where love is shared, where memories are made, and where Ohana is always welcome.

To Evy, mahalo for trusting us with your family’s story. It is an honor we are privileged to share with our beloved Ohana. Thank you for allowing us to carry on a legacy that began long before we ever walked through these doors.

Life is so much deeper than we often realize. Remember, Sometimes a building isn’t just a building… it’s a legacy lovingly passed from one Ohana to another. And what a privilege it is to continue nurturing the seeds her mom planted, so they can keep blessing generations to come.

🤍
