Quinoa can either be an amazing superfood or a menace to your digestive system.
Start activating it and unlock its true nutritional potential.
The acid soak - cover your quinoa with filtered water and a spash of apple cider vinegar.
The vinegar creates the perfect environment to jump start the breakdown of phytic acid- which is the anti nutrient responsible for reducing nutrient absorption and wreaking havoc on your digestive system.
After 4-6 hours, rinse the quinoa a couple of times before refilling with filtered water for another 4-6hour soak.
Drain, rinse and it’s ready to cook as normal!
Elderflower champagne is such a fun ferment! It harnesses the essence of the Spring and creates a delicious elixir.
Measurements for 1 Gallon Jar
80g fresh elderflowers
350g of raw honey
2 large citrus, sliced
1 tablespoons of raw Apple Cider Vinegar
Remineralized RO or spring water
Process
🌼Dissolve Honey in about a quart of warm (not boiling) water until fully dissolved. Boiling water can kill the beneficial properties and wild yeasts in raw honey. High heat also breaks down the molecular structure of honey, forming toxins that are indigestible and cause blockages in the body.
🌼Add a quart of room temperature water, elderflower, citrus and ACV. Stir, then fill with more water , leaving 2-3 inches of head space in the jar.
🌼Cover and let sit for 3-4 days, burping and shaking daily.
🌼Once there is a decent amount of fizz, strain and bottle, leaving 2 inches of head space in each bottle. Let the bottles sit at room temperature for 1 to 3 days to build carbonation, then move to the fridge to stop the fermentation.
