📈 Over the last year and a half, I’ve dedicated countless hours to learning the world of government contracting.

When I first started, I quickly realized that submitting a proposal is only one small part of the process. Understanding solicitations, compliance requirements, evaluation criteria, pricing strategies, certifications, teaming opportunities, and writing a compelling technical proposal takes time, patience, and continuous learning.

Looking back at my first proposals compared to the ones I’m writing today, the growth has been incredible. Every RFP has taught me something new, and every submission has made me a stronger proposal writer. 💡

Government contracting isn’t just about winning contracts. It’s about building a company that agencies can trust to deliver quality services, remain compliant, and perform at a high level. 🤝

For small businesses, government contracting creates opportunities that can truly change the trajectory of a company. It allows businesses to compete, grow, create jobs, and make a meaningful impact while serving federal, state, and local agencies.

The journey hasn’t always been easy, but every webinar, every training, every certification, every proposal, and every lesson learned has been worth it. 🌱

I’m still learning every single day, and that’s one of the things I enjoy most about this industry. Growth doesn’t happen overnight—it happens one lesson, one proposal, and one opportunity at a time.

To every small business owner pursuing government contracts: keep learning, keep improving, and don’t let the “no’s” stop you. Sometimes the preparation is just as valuable as the award itself. 🚀

The Top 10 Revenue Cycle Mistakes Costing Medical Practices Thousands 06/16/2026

The Top 10 Revenue Cycle Mistakes Costing Medical Practices Thousands

Is your practice losing revenue without even realizing it?

Many healthcare organizations focus heavily on patient care but overlook critical revenue cycle processes that directly impact reimbursement, cash flow, and financial stability. Even small inefficiencies can lead to claim denials, delayed payments, increased write-offs, and lost revenue opportunities.

Some of the most common revenue cycle mistakes include:

✔ Failure to verify insurance eligibility before patient visits

✔ Incorrect coding and documentation errors

✔ Missing or expired prior authorizations

✔ Untimely claim filing

✔ Poor accounts receivable follow-up

✔ Credentialing and enrollment delays

✔ Underpayments from insurance carriers

✔ Lack of financial reporting and KPI monitoring

✔ Inadequate denial management processes

✔ Attempting to manage increasingly complex billing requirements without specialized expertise

The good news is that these issues are often preventable.

By implementing proactive revenue cycle management strategies, healthcare organizations can improve collections, reduce denials, strengthen cash flow, and position themselves for long-term financial success.

At ELS Medical Billing Group, we help healthcare organizations identify revenue cycle challenges and implement solutions that improve operational efficiency and maximize reimbursement. Our services include Medical Billing & Coding, Revenue Cycle Management, Provider Enrollment & Credentialing, Denials & Appeals, Accounts Receivable Follow-Up, Compliance Audits, EMS Billing, Laboratory Billing, and Behavioral Health Billing.

If your organization is experiencing increasing denials, delayed reimbursements, aging accounts receivable, or credentialing challenges, it may be time to evaluate your revenue cycle processes.

Small improvements today can lead to significant financial gains tomorrow.
