What a Festool Kapex armature looks like when it explodes. Second time this has occurred in this 5 year old saw. I'm several years out of warranty so I fixed it myself. $200 for the new armature with bearing. 3 hours of time.

While I was at it I diagnosed an older dewalt sander that wouldn't work, bad switch, ordered new brushes and a switch.

Then installed some used brushes in an older dewalt drill that i salvaged from an even older drill.

Long day catching up on tool maintenance.
