Attached below are photos of a recent project we completed.

As you can see, years of rainfall and a carpenter ant infestation (which we took care of) had compromised the structural integrity of this overhang.

Unfortunately, the existing 2x8s and 2x4s were beyond repair and required a complete replacement.
We were able to carefully raise the roof to its original height using jacks. After a meticulous removal process, we installed a new sandwiched 2x12 to provide support for the roof's weight on both sides of the overhang.
Once secure, we replaced the existing rotten post with a new 4x4 cedar post and installed a protective water barrier along with proper step flashing where necessary.

This week, we successfully rehabilitated a roof, providing it with the necessary repairs.

The project was completed for the esteemed owners of Stalph. The process involved removing the compromised top layer of the EPDM roof, revealing significant water damage and rotted holes.

We addressed these issues by applying a new layer of OSB and optimizing the roof's pitch to facilitate efficient water runoff. Ultimately, the owners of Stalph expressed complete satisfaction with the final result, and we appreciate their kind gesture of providing us with drinks.

I am trying to post more than just once a year 😃
— But I promise we are always active on here!

This budget friendly project needed some urgent repairs.

We were able to remove the damaged areas & add a new structural support due to rotting. We also installed a variety of things for a new and improved look.

It’s been a while!

I definitely had fun on this one. The customer didn’t want to replace everything, which is completely understandable. I had some help to get this job done with what I had to work with!

-replaced the stringers
-railings
-steps
-reinforced spindles
-installed a 4x4 post with cement
-all wood is pressure treated . .
From start to finish it was a ride full of laughter, “accidental” cussing, and teaching. As well as learning a thing or two about how important it is to teach the younger generation how life really works when you’re in the thick of it but can still come out on top.
