Whether pumping up fans or striking fear in rival teams, mascots have been synonymous with local sports teams for decades. Lucky the Leopard was a vital part of the Lafayette Leopards baseball team. Though the Lafayette Leopards only lasted five seasons, the team (and Lucky) is a part of the rich history of baseball in Lafayette.
