World Continence Week: Incontinence Impacts Millions Worldwide
More than 400 million people around the world live with bladder or bowel control challenges, yet many suffer in silence due to stigma and misunderstanding. This World Continence Week, let's raise awareness, encourage conversations, and remind those affected that help, support, and treatment options are available.
This World Continence Week, NAFC joins organizations around the globe in raising awareness of the millions of people affected by bladder and bowel health conditions.
The reality is that bladder and bowel health concerns are far more common than many realize. An estimated 1 in 3 people worldwide will experience a bladder or bowel health condition during their lifetime, and more than 400 million people currently live with incontinence. Yet stigma, embarrassment, and misinformation often prevent individuals from seeking help and support.
Throughout World Continence Week, NAFC is proud to stand alongside the global continence community to break down barriers, encourage open conversations, and remind people that they are not alone. Together, we can increase awareness, reduce stigma, and help connect more individuals with the education, treatment options, and support they deserve.
💙 Join us June 15–21 as we work toward a future where no one feels ashamed to talk about bladder and bowel health.
