Maples are flowering and you know what that means! Well in case you don't we're here to fill you in. Maples in Colorado often suffer from chlorosis cased by nutrient deficiency due to alkaline soil so to keep them healthy they need your help to get the micronutrients they need. There are a few ways to tackle this problem but the easiest solution is just to spread these nutrients over the soil in the spring before they start to leaf out. Now is the time to spread those nutrients so that when its time for them to make their leaves they have all the nutrients they need to stay healthy.
