My most successful client relationships have been with coaches who are on the opposite end of the DiSC assessment from me.
In our cases, they are the big-vision, ideas people with huge personalities.
I'm the quieter, organized, hyper attention to detail person. I'm thinking ahead 8 individual steps, while they see a room full of people at a retreat.
When hiring a new team member, particularly an assistant, I recommend YOU take a couple of personality strengths tests first to see what holes you need filled.
Strengths-finders, DiSC, and Sacred Money Archetypes would be my first recommendations. That last one because if the way you both think about and approach money is very different, it can end up causing friction.
For example, if you (the coach) are the personality type who likes to spend money on big, flashy things, and they (the team member) are a saver personality type, there could be a clash of spending styles where they are trying to save you money and you don't hold that same value.
It's not about "wasting" money. It's about making sure you understand each other.
In my case, I'm a saver, the child of a saver and a spender, I was on the PTA for 10 out of 11 years, and I have always placed value on making a dollar stretch - especially when it's someone else's dollar.
Many of my clients say that they have more money than time. Rather than them spending time looking for an old graphic to update, they'd rather pay to have it created all over again.
It took me a bit of time to truly GET that they really did mean it. Now, I understand.
When it comes time to hire a contractor or employee, a really good candidate will be asking you questions to determine your fit as their client/employer at the same time you are assessing them for fit with you.
Unless you are looking for someone to take on your position in the company, don't hire someone who is just like you. Hire for the things you don't want to do and the strengths you don't have.
If you're looking for an assistant to help you with the details in your coaching business DM me. I currently have space for two clients.

Hey coaches,
Do you feel like you’ve got some runaway momentum?
Like a high-speed train that you can’t find the brakes on. 🚄
I know what it’s like when the panic and overwhelm set in. You don’t know where to start or what to deal with first.
When this happens, it’s important to take a step back and look at different ways to calm the chaos before it gets worse.
A great strategy is to automate, eliminate, and delegate.
🤖 Automate: List out everything you do on repeat and look at ways to automate those repetitive tasks. It’s great if you know how to use some tech tools, but if you don’t, it can be as simple as creating email templates to save you from wasting precious minutes remembering how you worded it last time.
❌Eliminate: What are you spending time on that isn’t paying off? Start by analyzing all your marketing channels. If you’ve given something a fair, consistent chance, it’s time to look at what doesn’t need to come with you into Q3.
🙋♀️Delegate: Outsource the things that don’t belong in your zone of genius but still need to get done.
Some things that can be delegated to a team like mine are your:
✔️ File organization
✔️ Client onboarding
✔️ Kajabi/Clickfunnels/ActiveCampaign/etc management
✔️ Community management
✔️ Social media management
✔️ Website management
✔️ Sales funnel and automation management
