LPISD BOND PROPOSITION B PASSES IN LANDSLIDE
For. 1411 (77.91%)
Against. 400 (22.09%)
No tax rate increase! That’s right, the LPISD tax rate won’t increase as a result of this bond! If your property taxes go up, that’s because of the Harris County Appraisal District, not LPISD. Why would you say no??

Did you catch this story on ABC 13? Recapture is impacting our school district and our property taxes are being sent to the state. LPISD will pay roughly $60M to the state this year, while Deer Park ISD will only pay $20M. We need this bond to pass so we can guarantee our district will have the funds needed to repair classrooms, provide devices for teachers, and continue fostering an incredible education for our kids. https://abc13.com/texas-recapture-school-funding-robin-hood-system-finance/13202290/
