Lunatic Techs

As you all may know, Deer Park is our neighboring city. The fire that had been burning since late Sunday night at the ITCDP plant is finally out as of Wednesday evening, but the 8 storage tanks continued to smolder. This, unfortunately, put off an “invisible plume” with high levels of benzene, a known carcinogen. Most of the city within the effected area had come to a stand still.

We at Lunatic Techs are safe (thank you Lord) here in La Porte….for now. All of our techs in the field used safe alternate routes this week and are all good as well. Business as usual, the show must go on…

The City of Deer Park as well as entities including the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and Harris County HAZMAT are continually monitoring air quality in and around Deer Park. There is no Shelter-in-Place at this time.
