Job Summary

This position is in the maintenance organization primarily performing job duties associated preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and equipment calibration.

Job Responsibilities

In this position, you will be expected to apply technical expertise in the preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Gas Chromatographs and Continuous Process Analyzers.
Identify and communicate troubleshooting and diagnostic evaluations for causes of instrumentation failures in instrumentation units assigned.

• Troubleshoot hardware and controls as needed.
• Support production with the startup and shutdown of operations as needed.
• Regularly performs routine Preventive Maintenance and repairs to assure equipment runs reliably and efficiently.
• Perform housekeeping duties to keep the area clean and free from debris.
• Must be able to follow site protocols for documenting work and equipment repair histories as applicable.
• Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if needed. If applicable, ability to work overtime may be needed to ensure required staffing capacity to meet daily objectives.
• Work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives.
• Follow instructions and perform other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
• Participate in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

• Two-year Associate Degree in Instrumentation - Electronics or completion of a 4- or 5-year Apprenticeship program.
• Five or more years of relevant experience in Instrumentation/Analyzer work in a chemical plant or refinery setting is required.
• Must have or be able to qualify for a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC). Please visit the website below for TWIC eligibility and requirements. https://www.tsa.gov/for-industry/twic
• Can read and understand schematic drawings and P&ID's.
• Must be able to use Inductive/Deductive reasoning and sequential thinking skills to resolve problems and organize the flow of work.
