- Strengthen heart and blood vessels
- Improve oxygen glow
- Lower and manage blood pressure
- Lower cholesterol
- Reduce risk of heart disease, Diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, stroke and certain cancers
- Reverse (and slow down ) aging
- Help regulate your nervous system
- Improve digestion
- Improve focus, cognitive function
- Better mood and regulating emotions
That’s just some of the benefits

Today we’re talking about cardio.

Cardio doesn’t only mean running
But running is a valuable skill to build and maintain
You don’t need much equipment, you can do it anywhere, and it’ll help you run away from that tiger

Take your pick
- Walking outside or the treadmill
- Stationary bike or elliptical machine
- Road bike
- Jogging and running
- Rower machine, ski erg

START HERE:
1. Steady pace
- Continuous lower intensity pace you can maintain for 20-30 minutes
- Do that 2-3 times per week
- In 1-3 weeks Increase the time by 5-10 minutes
2. Intervals
- Start adding some intensity with intervals
- 1 minute at a faster pace then 2-3 minutes at a slower manageable pace
- Continue for 20-30 minutes

Do more of the steady pace and sprinkle in some intervals as you get fitter.

Combine this with some strength training and you’re setting your body up for a fit future.
