Hamilton Early Learning Center PTO

Hello all,

I'm reaching out in my role as Hamilton PTO representative. Our community is about to face a hunger crisis with SNAP not being federally funded. At Hamilton PTO, our kids and families can benefit from local care right now.

Here is the good news- there are some simple things we can do to help our community stay safe and healthy!

Attached is a food drive flyer with instructions on where/when to drop off food and/or gift cards at Hamilton/SOTA I. Physical food donations are great, but gift card contributions would have a huge impact. Gift cards (ideally to Walmart for accessibility) could be used to purchase perishables and preferred food items. There are only so many garbanzo beans a family can eat!

You could also make a donation to the Hamilton PTO with the QR code attached and you can indicate "food" in the notes. This might be the simplest way to have the biggest impact, particularly if you face time challenges (like many of us). Donations made to Hamilton PTO with "food" indicated in the comments will be directly funded to the school to distribute to families.

If your pantry is full and you have resources to share, please consider supporting the kids and families of our community. Please share this request widely within your networks of care.

On behalf of the Hamilton Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), Our first fundraiser of the year is September 7th at Village Festival.

Our first PTO meeting will be Wednesday, September 10th from 5-6pm. There will be childcare available thanks to the Boys and Girls Club. I'll send out a meeting reminder with the agenda closer to the meeting date.
