There’s something about realizing you’re doing the “lasts” that nobody prepares you for.
The last early morning drive to school.
The last school pickup line.
The last football game.
The last track meet.
The last “Mom, I need…” yelled from another room.
The last first day.
And somehow… one ordinary day becomes the last ordinary day before graduation. 💔🎓

My last baby is graduating, and I feel like I’m trying to hold water in my hands… desperately wanting time to slow down long enough to soak in every moment before it slips into memory.

And I can’t help but feel overwhelmingly grateful that these years happened here — in Wimberley.

A small town where teachers know your child’s name, where familiar faces fill the stands on Friday nights, where community shows up in the biggest moments and the hardest ones too. A place where kids are raised not just by parents, but by neighbors, coaches, friends, church families, and lifelong roots. 🤍

There is something sacred about raising (or even having them attend school) children in a small town.
The slower pace.
The traditions.
The feeling that childhood gets to last just a little longer here.

I’m proud beyond words watching my baby step into the next chapter… but if I’m honest, part of me wishes I could freeze time just a little bit longer.

So here’s to all the moms soaking in the “lasts” with tears in their eyes and gratitude in their hearts. We were blessed to live them. ✨
