Daphne Tenorio For Hays County

What if I were to tell you that I firmly believe an elected official has a responsibility to educate future generations? That’s precisely what I believe. Sharing common experiences and knowledge is how we can shape the future of our own communities. I’m grateful to the Texas State College Dems for affording me the opportunity to share my history as a Democratic supporter, leader, candidate, and elected official. Knowledge is power; now go take on the day.

I concluded my Saturday funday at the Kyle Fest, where the Mayor paid tribute to the City of Kyle's history and extended an invitation to all former council members. It was a pleasure reconnecting with former council colleagues and friends. We were also presented with a key to the City, making for a memorable night.

Fun fact: Five members of the Tenorio family have served on the Kyle City Council, including Uncle Blas Tenorio, the first Hispanic council member, Uncle Sam Tenorio, Cousin Sandra Tenorio, the first Hispanic Mayor, Cousin Linda Tenorio, and myself, Daphne Tenorio. Our family has a rich history of public service, and I am proud to be an active member of our community.
