Inside Klein Fire: "A Life Saved in Klein"

On May 24, a 42-year-old man went into sudden cardiac arrest at Next Level Urgent Care. Klein Fire Department Tower 34 and Harris County ESD 11 Mobile Healthcare Medic 426 arrived within minutes, began high-quality CPR, secured an airway, and administered epinephrine – restoring his pulse and giving him a fighting chance. He was rushed to Houston Methodist Willowbrook, received a life-saving stent, and walked out of the hospital three days later, neurologically intact.

This save shows what strong, well-funded Emergency Services Districts make possible. ESDs are the first line of defense for Texas communities like Klein – the people who show up when seconds matter. Stable property and sales tax revenue keeps trained personnel on duty 24/7, maintains lifesaving equipment, and ensures the readiness that leads to outcomes like this one. Protecting ESDs mean protecting the people who protect Texas.

Our crews had a busy start to the summer! In June, Klein Fire Department responded to 463 total incidents to keep our community safe.

Here are a few highlights:
🔥Total Calls: 463 incidents, including 186 EMS/Rescue calls and 24 fire incidents.
🔥Top Response District: 87 of those incidents came out of Station 33's territory
🔥Dedicated Training: Our personnel completed almost 2400 hours of training across 937 classes attended to ensure we are always ready when you call.
