This 1971 Oldsmobile 442 W30 Convertible may have been one of the most overlooked cars at Mecum Kissimmee 2023. Why do I say that? This was 1 of only 110 produced, Numbers Matching, 1 of 10 born with Factory AC, and possibly one of the earliest W-30 Convertibles built that year.

I personally verified the numbers matching status and went top to bottom on this car verifying the condition and validity of the claims made. I appraised this car to have a Fair Market Value of $140,000, taking into consideration the rarity and condition. Unfortunately, it did not sell, the bidding stalled out at $120K. Why? Who knows... the bidding public can be an odd and erratic group at times... Don't believe me?!?!

This 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge was valued at $560,000 as per Hagerty price guides prior to the Mecum Kissimmee 2023 Auctions. It sold for a whopping $ 1.1 million!!! Yet another moment when I almost fall out of my chair at the hammer price!
