Meet Gallagher, a 48-year-young Blue & Gold Macaw with a big personality, a gentle heart, and so much love to give.
Gallagher takes a little time to trust new people, but once you earn his confidence with patience, kindness, and maybe a walnut or two, you'll discover a loyal companion who loves head scratches, target training, and spending time with his favorite person. He'll greet you with a cheerful "Hi!" when he hears you and a sweet "Bye!" when you leave.
Like many rescue parrots, Gallagher has experienced change and loss. What he needs now is an experienced adopter willing to continue building his confidence and show him that forever homes really do exist.
After spending longer in foster care than any other bird in our rescue, we're hoping his perfect person is out there reading this right now.
