We recently assumed management of another commercial property's pool, which had been consistently green. Our team arrived on Saturday and performed a chemical analysis, revealing low levels of key chemicals and an excessively high CYA level, causing the pool to be chlorine-locked. To address the issue, we began the dilution process by draining the pool halfway and refilling it with fresh water. Once the refill was complete on Monday morning, we treated and balanced the chemicals, and thoroughly cleaned the pool surfaces. After a day of proper circulation, the pool was restored to its original state. Furthermore, we discovered a faulty pump disconnect that was sparking and replaced it with a new one. We also informed the property owners that the pool lights lacked a timer and were instead hardwired to the breaker, requiring manual operation. Interestingly, the owners were not aware of the pool lights' presence. To enhance the ambiance, we installed a timer for the lights, ensuring that hotel guests can now enjoy a beautifully illuminated pool area in the evenings.
