We had the privilege of designing and installing a custom drapery project for the Kingman Police Department's meeting room. The requirements were to look like a stage drapery, to curve to cover the hall entrance, and to stack to the far right allowing viewing of the window and monitors. The design was easy, but The installation - not so much. The ceiling was a traditional dropped panel system with no means of supporting the heavy drapery. To handle the weight of the draperies we constructed a separate wood mounting surface to handle the weight of the draperies, a wood mounting surface was installed on top of the dropped panels to give a very sturdy mounting surface for the drapery and track. It turned out beautifully.
