Dan Hebert Deran Good Afternoon! Thank you volunteering your time to provide financial counseling to our teachers on Saturday, November 5th from 12:30 To 4:00 pm. Outstanding sessions in which the Teachers gain a wealth of knowledge and understanding of their personal finances, teaching tools and resources, and great investment tips to make their retirement goals reachable. Deran Tolbert, Good Afternoon! Thank you volunteering your time to provide financial counseling to our teachers on Saturday, November 5th from 12:30 .

The teachers have been told that to make a list of questions they want answered during their 20-minute session and to bring any relevant financial documents related to their questions.

The sessions will be held in the Waterford Room at the InterContinenal Hotel in Addison, TX. Waterford is on the ballroom level of the hotel. We will have a name badge for you at our conference information desk on that floor and one of our volunteers will be in the meeting room to handle traffic flow.

The teachers will be given their appointment time beginning at 12:30 p.m. Coffee and water will be available for you. We have over 30 teachers registered this year. There is free parking at the hotel in their complimentary lot.

Thank you again for your participation and for taking time to counsel our teachers!

Hello beautiful black people,

One of the things I've learned during my years of teaching Finance to college students and the black community is that, for some people, Finance can be SCARY. The terminology can appear to be confusing, causing some of us to freeze up and miss out on the opportunities that come with understanding how money works in America.

To help with this issue, I've decided that periodically, I am going to share definitions of various financial terms that you might find to be of help. The advantage in my explaining it to you is that I'm actually pretty good at finding simple ways to explain complex concepts.

In the video below, I explain the term "asset allocation." Maybe after hearing me break it down for you, it won't sound so intimidating when you hear someone say it on Wall Street.
