Honored to Be Featured in ENA Connection
There was a time when earning a doctorate felt like a distant goal. Like many nurses, I balanced work, family responsibilities, leadership commitments, and the realities of everyday life while pursuing higher education. There were moments of doubt, moments of exhaustion, and moments when the finish line seemed impossibly far away.
Today, I am honored to be featured in the June issue of ENA Connection's article on emergency nurses pursuing higher education.
My educational journey has included earning an MBA, MHA, MSN, and ultimately a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. Each degree opened doors I never imagined, from executive leadership roles and board service to entrepreneurship and opportunities to influence the future of emergency nursing.
To every nurse considering the next step in your educational journey: start where you are. You do not need to have the entire path mapped out. One course, one semester, and one degree at a time can transform your career in ways you cannot yet imagine.
