All emergency response agencies in the Black Hills have the same message today. Seeing how we have had four rescue calls at Hippie Hole in the last month we can’t stress this enough. Each one of those calls often takes no less than 3-4 hours.

We had a crew out participating in this training last night. It was a great night for training!

One of our own is part of this class. He is now our third staff member to attend the RCFD Paramedic Program. Keep doing great things Gideon!

PARAMEDIC SCHOOL: These eight (six from RCFD and two from outside agencies) are in their third week of the Rapid City Fire Department’s Paramedic Program 2025. These students will be completing the 37-week program to include 1,200 hours of classroom education, clinical, and ride time. They are set to graduate in October 2025.
