Position Overview

The Captain is responsible for safely operating our vessels while delivering a top-notch fishing experience for every guest. This role requires a strong focus on seamanship, leadership, and hospitality. The right candidate will be as comfortable navigating offshore waters as they are welcoming first-time anglers aboard.

Key Responsibilities
• Safely operate a 100 Ton inspected passenger vessel in compliance with all USCG regulations.
• Navigate local waters and maintain awareness of weather, tides, and sea conditions.
• Manage crew members, ensuring professional conduct, safety awareness, and guest service.
• Oversee passenger safety briefings, vessel inspections, and logbooks.
• Work closely with mates to create a fun, engaging, and productive fishing trip for all skill levels.
• Handle docking, anchoring, and maneuvering with confidence and precision.
• Communicate effectively with guests, providing fishing knowledge, local history, and a welcoming atmosphere.
• Ensure maintenance and cleanliness standards are upheld aboard the vessel.
• Report mechanical issues, safety concerns, or operational needs promptly.

Qualifications
• Valid U.S. Coast Guard 100 Ton Master License.
• Valid TWIC card and FCC radio operator permit preferred.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification.
• Strong knowledge of Florida Keys waters and fishing practices (local experience a plus).
• Proven ability to lead a crew and interact professionally with guests.
• Clean record with emphasis on safety and compliance.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
