Some good news from Tropic Press and Project 140 Florida regarding the upcoming elections, David Jolly campaign update, Hispanics having second thoughts, and lawsuit against proposed property tax proposal.

"According to the Florida Secretary of State’s website, Democrats will be on the ballot for all but one state Senate race and all but 12 state House seats. Of note: Democrats are unopposed by Republicans in two state Senate districts and 18 state House seats.

Do the math, and that means Democrats are outperforming Republicans in fielding candidates for the state Legislature 92 percent to 86 percent. That is an accomplishment that was virtually unimaginable a few short months ago."

Even with these gains in the state Jim Mooney Florida House District 120 will be running unopposed. We can't let this stand. Anyone interested should step up.
