🏝️🤫 We have a little secret for you: Key West is NOT known for its beaches. 🤯 Key West is a coral island, not a sandy barrier island, which means the coastline is rocky and doesn’t naturally produce long, wide beaches with soft sand. Much of the sand on Key West’s beaches is imported because the natural seabed in the area is primarily made of coral and limestone, contributing to smaller, less pristine beach areas.

The good news? 🙌 The SANDBARS around Key West are incredible because they are natural formations located in crystal-clear, shallow waters, only accessible by boat. These sandbars are made of fine, white sand and are surrounded by calm turquoise waters, making them feel untouched and remote. And since they’re out in the middle of the ocean, away from the shoreline, they offer a unique and serene experience, often with incredible visibility of marine life, including dolphins and fish, which you won’t find on typical beaches.

Being on a sandbar offers a truly exclusive and scenic escape that’s very different from the beach experience - but you’ll have to book with a private charter like ours to experience it!

🛥️ O Captain! My Captain… Ange! When you book a private charter with us, you’re not just getting any captain—you’re heading out with Soul Shine Adventures’ owner and founder, Ange Robb. Originally from Maine, Ange moved to Key West 15 years ago to follow her passion for the ocean. Since the day she stepped off the plane, she’s been lucky enough to work on the water every single day.

🛥️ Ange started as a crew member and, after 12 years as a captain, now holds her 100 Ton Masters license. She’s all about custom boat charters, and no two trips are ever the same.

🐬 Ange has been watching the local pod of Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins since 2007, so she knows exactly where to find them. Trust us, seeing these dolphins in their natural habitat is something you don’t want to miss!

🤿 She’s also been guiding snorkeling trips for years, always finding those perfect, calm, clear spots—far away from the crowds.

🎣 If fishing is your thing, Ange’s got you covered. From bottom fishing to reef/wreck fishing, shark fishing, and even tarpon fishing, she’s done it all.
