Detention Deputy Trainee:

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is accepting Preliminary Applications for the Detention Deputy Trainee Academy Tentative Start date January 11, 2027. The Academy will be held at the College of the Florida Keys on Stock Island. Monroe County Sheriff’s Office will pay for your new career including tuition, books, and salary. Starting salary is $53,151.00, and increases to $72,305.00 upon successful completion of the academy and state exam. The work location will be at the Main Jail in Key West.
